Summary of Position

The goal of the Cornell University Class of 2015 Council is to connect classmates by rekindling memories of days on the Hill while providing support of today’s Cornell. Council members serve five year terms and have a lot of freedom on how to meet that goal. The class president provides overall leadership, initiates class activities, and develops class strategies. The president meets regularly with all class officers to oversee duties of their offices. The president is responsible for coordinating regular communication between all officers. The president monitors budget, membership attendees at Reunion, and class activities.

The president will be responsible for writing and editing correspondence to classmates, including membership and invitation mailings. The president will represent the work of the class in small and large group settings.

Manage Projects
The president will lead and oversee the class officer initiatives and the class meetings, which meets at least once a year at CALC. The president will host conference calls with the executive committee to ensure the completion of assigned tasks. The president will work closely with university staff liaisons and the CACO Board mentor.

Represent Cornell
The president will represent the class at Cornell functions and will engage classmates through class membership, events and other class initiatives. The class president will encourage classmates to pay their class dues, attend Reunion and support the Annual Fund.
