The Class Correspondent writes 6 class columns per year for the Class Notes. To draft class columns, correspondents use updates gathered from classmates via forms that alumni choose to submit along with their dues payments. Correspondents may also utilize news gathered: at events; by fellow officers; from classmate friends; or through class website or emails. Many classes also ask their correspondents to publicize class events or activities in their columns.

Class correspondents must be committed to spending time collecting and reading news of classmates and writing about it in a lively, entertaining tone. They must meet strict deadlines six times a year and remain in regular contact with their fellow officers as well as staff from Class, Student and Young Alumni Programs and Cornellians.
