Summary of Position
The Chair of the CAAAN Advisory Committee (‘C’AC) serves as the leader of ‘C’AC and collaborates closely with the CAAAN Coordinator, CAAAN Assistant, and ’C’AC Vice Chair to guide the committee. The chair creates, implements, and oversees initiatives for ‘C’AC based on the strategic direction set forth by the university. The Chair represents ‘C’AC at events within the broader Undergraduate Admissions and Alumni Affairs Communities. Additionally, as a volunteer for Cornell University, vote in Cornell's annual alumni trustee election.

Beyond the basic requirements of being a ‘C’AC member, the Chair represents the work of CAAAN and the Undergraduate Admissions Community in individual, small, and large group settings, including CALC and TCAM.

The Chair leads and oversees the efforts of CAAAN and ‘C’AC, which meets three times a year. The Chair also hosts monthly conference calls with the Vice Chair and the CAAAN Coordinator to ensure the completion of initiatives, and serves as the host of ‘C’AC meetings. The Chair works closely with Undergraduate Admissions Office leadership to help identify, implement, and support new initiatives.
