These members are instrumental in the guidance and management of CAAAN and also serve as special advisors to UAO as needed. Talent Expectations: Skills

Communicate

Write and/or Edit
Speak to Groups
C’AC members should communicate regularly within committee meetings, with any assigned mentees, and will occasionally be called upon to present or co-present at training sessions or special events.

Lead/Manage/Serve

Lead a Group
Manage Projects
Serve on a Committee or Board
C’AC members are deeply involved in most phases of CAAAN activity, planning, oversight, problem-solving, etc. Meetings are a big part of the work the members participate in, but work between meetings is required, too. Every member is expected to participate in a working group and those working groups function very autonomously, so each person will take some level of leadership even if s/he is not one of the official leaders of ‘C’AC.

Build/Maintain Relationships

Engage Individuals
Mentor
Represent Cornell
‘C’AC members engage with CAAAN volunteers at all different levels of the organization. Their information is available on the CAAAN website and they are quite visible within the organization. We ask that ‘C’AC members make themselves available to chairs and general chairs via email, at CAAAN events, at the Cornell Alumni Leadership Conferences, etc. Finally, ‘C’AC members help CAAAN leadership and UAO to present at workshops for CAAAN members and any alumni interested in volunteering for admissions-related functions.
