Summary of Position

The Social Media Director is responsible for contributing to Cornell NorCal’s overall marketing strategy by managing Cornell NorCal’s key social media platforms, strategies, tactics and messages. The Social Media candidate is responsible for actively engaging alumni and influencers within the social media channel.

Create a social media voice and editorial direction to support the Cornell Norcal brand and to drive alumni engagement. Provide regular and periodic management and development of editorial content and photos on social media platforms, including tweets, posts and discussions. Proactively interact with online communities across all platforms.

Lead/Manage/Serve

Serve on a Committee or Board
Work collaboratively with Cornell NorCal board members to align social media strategies with overall club strategies and goals. Provide periodic reports to the board on social media effectiveness.

Build/Maintain Relationships

Engage Individuals
Represent Cornell
Grow and measure inbound traffic from social channels. Manage web, mobile and social media analytics to gain insights into alumni behavior, increase Cornell NorCal visibility and build engagement with alumni.
