Summary of Position

The Secretary shall issue notices of Association meetings and meeting agendas, as requested by the President and Executive Board. The Secretary shall keep minutes of all such meetings, preserve such minutes for inspection by the membership, and maintain a copy of the bylaws and association correspondence. The Secretary shall assist the VP of Communications with the creation and dissemination of alumni publications, such as newsletters or major announcements related to CAAA programs and events, and shall also perform other duties as assigned by the President or Executive Board. Additionally, as a volunteer for Cornell University, the secretary shall vote in Cornell's annual alumni trustee election.

The Secretary shall issue notices of Association meetings and, as requested by the President, meetings of the Executive Board. The Secretary shall take all meeting minutes, assist in setting meeting agendas, and support the president and other officers in major association correspondence. The secretary shall also ensure timely notice of agenda items and minutes before and after executive board meetings, respectively.
