Summary of Position

The Vice President of Marketing and Communications is responsible for maintaining the club's web page, as well as ensuring any and all social media outlets are up-to-date. This position is also asked to explore all options for maintaining a robust online club presence and use social media to effectively communicate club and alumni activity with the local Cornell community. All officer positions also serve as a director at large and are expected to plan at least one alumni event each year as well as attend and participate in monthly board meetings.

It is important that this candidate is able to communicate in board meetings and share thoughts and ideas with the board. Although public speaking is not mandatory, it is helpful to have a comfort level in speaking to their constituents. The ability to share a clear message is important in both speaking and communicating via email and especially on the club web pages.
