Summary of Position

Help bring together Cornellians by organizing events focused on all the wonderful cultural and artistic experiences in Los Angeles. Events could take the shape of museum tours, plays and musicals, learning opportunities, and more. If you're passionate about the arts, this is a great opportunity to meet like-minded Cornellians and experience all that LA has to offer. Additionally, all board members are responsible for attending board meetings and providing input and guidance on the direction of the Cornell Club of Los Angeles, one of the largest and most active Cornell alumni clubs in the U.S. Expectation is that you organize no less than 1 event per calendar quarter, though more are ideal for building our community.

Speak to Groups
It is important that the the arts and culture programming director is able to speak in board meetings and share thoughts and ideas with the board. Although public speaking is not mandatory, it is helpful to have a comfort level in speaking to their constituents. The ability to share a clear message of welcome and inclusion is important in both speaking and communicating via email.


Serve on a Committee or Board
Directors should attend and participate in meetings for the Cornell Club of Los Angeles. They should also provide support for activities and functions.

Build/Maintain Relationships

Represent Cornell
Directors should represent Cornell at any Cornell Club Event they plan or attend.
