Summary of Position

CCLA's networking brunches director is responsible for planning networking breakfasts for women focused on a range of topics. These events typically feature a speaker and have previously covered things like the business of chocolate, finding your ideal career, and meet and greets with artists and authors. Additionally, all board members are responsible for attending board meetings and providing input and guidance on the direction of the Cornell Club of Los Angeles, one of the largest and most active Cornell alumni clubs in the U.S. Expectation is that you organize no less than 1 event per calendar quarter, though more are ideal for building our community.

Speak to Groups
It is important that directors are able to speak in board meetings and share thoughts and ideas with the board. Although public speaking is not mandatory, it is helpful to have a comfort level in speaking to their constituents. The ability to share a clear message of welcome and inclusion is important in both speaking and communicating via email.
