The social media chair leverages all options for maintaining a robust online club presence and uses social media to effectively communicate club and alumni activity with the local Cornell community. The chair may also be tasked with supporting the club secretary in keeping the website up-to-date.

It is important that the social media chair is able to communicate in board meetings and share thoughts and ideas with the board. Although public speaking is not mandatory, it is helpful to have a comfort level in speaking to their constituents. The ability to share a clear message is important in both speaking and communicating via email and especially on the club web pages.
