Summary of Position

The Cornell Mid-Hudson Alumni Association (CMHAA)is a dues free alumni organization. At-Large Board members are responsible for the general control and management of the club; they transact all business of CMHAA and carry out and execute its purposes. . The main purpose of CMHA is to support Cornell’s mission, build community, and drive peer-to-peer engagement among members of the Cornell community in our area.

Board members may be asked to represent CMHAA at various events to greet and welcome attendees, thank the organizers, recognize the speakers, etc.

Board members are to serve a liaisons between CMHAA and Cornell staff, another alumni organization, association, board, or group to maximize collaboration and communication. They will also organize or support in the organization of activities and events to drive alumni engagement.

Board members are to engage alumni to get involved with CMHAA and with Cornell. In addition, board members represent Cornell University within the local community.
