Summary of Position

The Vice President for Communications is part of the team who provides leadership and guidance to the board and the local Cornell community. In addition, the communications manager is responsible for maintaining the club's web page in iModules, as well as ensuring any and all social media outlets are up-to-date. The communications manager is also asked to explore all options for maintaining a robust online club presence and use social media in addition to iModules marketing to effectively communicate club and alumni activity with the local Cornell community. This position will be trained in iModules.

It is important that the communications manager is able to communicate in board meetings and share thoughts and ideas with the board. Although public speaking is not mandatory, it is helpful to have a comfort level in speaking to their constituents. The ability to share a clear message is important in both speaking and communicating via email and especially on the club web pages.
