Summary of Position

The Mentorship Chair works in direct partnership with Diversity Alumni Programs (DAP) staff and the Director of Latinx Student Empowerment within the Office of Student and Campus Life (SCL) to administer the CLAA Mentorship Program. The primary responsibility of the Mentorship Chair is to engage with the CLAA alumni network to garner participation interest, the alumni selection process, and market the program broadly. The Chair will also work in conjunction with DAP and SLC staff to create mentoring program opportunities for students. Student outreach and matching process is a collaborative effort between the Mentoring Chair, DAP, and SCL—from process to execution.

Additional Attendance Requirements: Attendance at TCAM, CALC, and regional events is strongly encouraged. There shall be a minimum of one annual membership meeting. The annual membership meeting shall be held at the Cornell Alumni Leadership Conference or at another venue as deemed appropriate by the Board.
