Summary of Position

The Affinity Chair is the lead contact for promoting and maintaining alumni community engagement with Cornell Tech throughout the year. They work with CTAC & staff to identify motivated, qualified student candidates for open CTAC roles. They also support Cornell Tech teams (Studio, Career Management, Alumni Affairs & Development, Admissions etc) in creating, promoting, and maintaining alumni engagement opportunities throughout the year.

• Leads alumni + student programming: This includes working with students on campus to plan and execute networking events that include both alumni and current students.

• Lead candidate nomination and election process of new council members and and work with CTAC+staff to identify motivated+qualified student candidates for CTAC roles • Leads alumni outreach for studio team: This includes support for studio curriculum mentors, and panel discussions throughout the year. • Leads alumni outreach for the admissions team: This includes regular phone calls with the staff and managing / training a committee of volunteers to help with admissions interviews and events. • Leads alumni outreach for the career services team: This includes regular check ins with the career services team as needed to support their alumni outreach needs each year for items such as career advice, practice interviews, and mentorship
