Summary of Position

Regional chapters are committed to identifying and conducting outreach to LGBT alumni, parents of LGBT Cornellians and straight allies who are living and/or working within their regions; organizing a range of programs and activities (e.g., social, cultural, academic, athletic, career networking and/or community service events) to engage CUGALA members within their regions; and collaborating with other regional Cornell and LGBT organizations. The Chapter Director will provide leadership and direction to the chapter; organize and preside over meetings; oversee CUGALA programs and activities within the region and the implementation of other chapter actions and goals; recruit CUGALA members; and report to the board at its monthly meetings.

Prerequisites Candidates for this position must be an alumnus/a of a Cornell undergraduate, graduate or professional school or college and have attended at least one CUGALA program, activity or meeting in the year prior to appointment.

Off Campus Location: CUGALA programs and activities are often held in Ithaca in conjunction with Homecoming, TCAM and Reunion, at chapter locations (e.g., New York City, San Francisco, Boston, Washington, D.C., etc.), and also at CALC. CUGALA's monthly board meetings are conducted by teleconference.
