Summary of Position

The treasurer will receive from the Human Ecology office of Alumni Affairs & Development a written report of expenses, disbursements, fund balances and prepare and present a finance report at each board meeting. The treasurer will work directly with the office of Alumni Affairs & Development in managing the funds of the board.

The treasurer is expected to be well-versed in the council's yearly budget and communicate on a regular basis with the office of Alumni Affairs & Development. The treasurer prepares written finance reports for council meetings and must effectively communicate to the council the details of the reports and financial status of the budget.

The treasurer serves on the HEYA Executive Board and is responsible for bringing to their attention any financial issues appropriate for the committee's review.
