Summary of Position

The Regional Campaign Committees are focused on connecting and reconnecting alumni to the University and asking for their continued and increased support to the Cornell Annual Fund. Our program helps to sustain loyal donors, with meaningful discussions to increase alumni support yearly at the $5,000 level (Tower Club) and higher. The Campaign Chair energizes the fundraising effort by taking assignments of their own and by serving as a lead representative of the committee.

Follow-up with a note of thanks to all assigned contacts thanking them for past support and consideration of a gift for this year. Communicate clearly the case for the Annual Fund and provide specific examples of the Annual Fund's impact.

Lead/Manage/Serve

Lead a Group
Manage Projects
Lead the Campaign Committee Kickoff meeting and any additional meetings/calls throughout the course of the fiscal year. Work with your Regional Annual Fund Officer to identify seven to ten alumni to directly contact and ask for an Annual Fund gift at the $5,000 level or higher.

Welcome new committee members and follow-up with volunteers as needed. Contact all assigned alumni and record notes from your conversations. Complete each contact, communicate the results of your conversation and other information learned about alumni needs and concerns to your Regional Annual Fund Officer.
