Prerequisites
Alumni of the College of Arts & Sciences or a parent of a current A&S student;
A successful career currently in the field of Finance;
An interest in helping A&S students learn about careers;
Previous volunteer experience with A&S Career Development Center through either a Career Conversation on-campus, EXTERN/FRESH job shadowing program, or participation as a speaker or panelist at an ASCCC or field team event is preferred, but not mandatory.
The Finance Team will plan (at a minimum) TWO events a year; Summer Events will continue to take place in the NYC area.
Winter Events will take place VIRTUALLY..
Living/working daily in the NYC area is no-longer mandatory for joining the Finance Team.
Ability and willingness to travel to NYC for the in-person Summer Events is suggested.
Ideal candidates will be located in the Domestic USA. International alumni will find this opportunity challenging.

Members are expected to participate in the planning and execution of TWO team events each year, aimed at connecting A&S students with A&S alumni. Most of the planning meetings occur via conference call or email communications, though in-person meetings may be organized by the Team Leader for the members to better get to know each other and discuss ideas. TWO events with students occur each year and include a Summer networking event in New York City and a VIRTUAL winter career panel event.

Field Team meetings occur as needed and are organized by the Team Leader, usually to prep and plan for the team's upcoming summer and winter events.
Members are strongly encouraged to attend scheduled Orientation Meetings of the ASCCC that takes place either on-campus or in NYC from time to time.
Additional Attendance Requirements:
Members are encouraged to participate in CALC at least once during their first term of office.
CALC is Cornell's Annual Leadership Conference and provides excellent training and learning opportunities for alumni and parent volunteers. CALC typically occurs in February.
