Summary of Position

The VP of Alumni Engagement oversees a committee dedicated to identifying constituent needs, effective programs, career counseling and development opportunities, as well as other activities to cultivate alumni engagement; In parternship with CALS staff, the VP works to develop campus and regional events and celebrations to move alumni into roles of partnership and advocacy with the college.

The VP is responsible for leading and managing the CALSAA Alumni Engagment Committee. He/She works closely with CALS staff to set goals and initiatives for the committee and communicate those goals to committee members on conference calls and throughout the year.

The VP encourages committee member participation and delegates responsibilities to all team members. He/She is expected to orient the new committee members, coach committee members about their role, duties, and expected level of activity, and mentor members for future leadership opportunities.
