Summary of Position

The Class President Chairs the Class Leadership Team, provides overall leadership, develops Class strategies, sets goals for the Class, and initiates Class activities. The President meets regularly with all Class officers to oversee duties of their offices. The President is responsible for facilitating communication within the Class Leadership Team. The president monitors the Class budget, membership level, attendance at Reunion, and Class activities. He/She recruits additional members of the Class for such additional tasks or projects as are needed to address matters of interest to the Class. The President should communicate regularly with the designated mentor from the CACO Board.

The President will be responsible for writing and editing correspondence to Classmates, and for preparing a President's message to be posted on the Class website. The President will represent the work of the Class in small and large group settings, and leads the Class meeting at Reunion.

The President will lead and oversee the Class initiatives and the Class Leadership Team meetings and conference calls to ensure the completion of assigned tasks. The President will work closely with University staff liaisons and the CACO Board mentor.

Represent Cornell
The President will represent the Class at Cornell functions and will engage Classmates through Class membership, events and other Class initiatives. The Class President will encourage Classmates to pay their Class dues, attend Reunion and support the Annual Fund.
