Summary of Position

The secretary's role is facilitating communication among officers and maintaining a formal structure for the group. The secretary takes minutes of meetings and distributes to all officers as well as the staff contact. He/she is also personally responsible for maintaining a record of all meeting minutes. The secretary may also ensure that the constitution is regularly reviewed and updated and sometimes serves as historian by documenting important events and changes in the organization's history.
