Summary of Position

The VP of Development and Fundraising shall coordinate and oversee CAAA’s development and fundraising strategies and goals, including but not limited to its scholarships and fellowships. The VP of Development and Fundraising shall collaborate with university partners to determine key development and fundraising goals. Working with the President, the VP of Development and Fundraising shall address all issues related to CAAA Tradition Fellowship and scholarship. The VP of Development and Fundraising shall perform such other duties as may be assigned by the President or the Executive Board. Additionally, as a volunteer for Cornell University, the VP of Development and Fundraising shall vote in Cornell's annual alumni trustee election.

The Vice President for Development and Fundraising serves as the primary contact for CAAA’s scholarships and fellowships in partnership with campus partners. The VP of Development and Fundraising shall promote and support CAAA annual fundraising efforts throughout the year and during Giving Day.

The VP of Development and Fundraising is responsible for creating and managing an annual campaign plan that aligns with CAAA goals while encouraging greater donor participation and engagement. The Vice President for Development and Fundraising shall oversee and manage development and fundraising efforts in regards to all of CAAA’s major events, like the Pan Asian Banquet, AASP student scholarship, and A3C student scholarship.

Participate in Cornell and CAAA events and programs as needed. Proactively maintain and build relationships with key CAAA donors and Cornell staff partners to ensure timely recognition of all CAAA donors.

Prerequisites Current or prior leadership/experience in an alumni organization and/or nonprofit setting preferred but not required.
