Summary of Position
The Cornell Club of Greater Hartford (CCGH) is a dues free alumni organization for all alumni in Hartford and surrounding area. Board Director is an At-Large position and office holders are responsible for the general management of CCGH; they transact all club business and carry out and execute its purposes. The main purpose of CCGH is to support Cornell’s mission, build community, and drive peer-to-peer engagement among members of the Cornell community in our area.

Board members may be asked to represent CCGH at various events to greet and welcome attendees, thank the organizers, recognize the speakers, etc.

Board members are to serve a liaisons between CCGH and Cornell staff, another alumni organization, association, board, or group to maximize collaboration and communication. They will also organize or support in the organization of activities and events to drive alumni engagement.

Board members are to engage alumni to get involved with CCGH and with Cornell. In addition, board members represent Cornell University within the local community.
