Summary of Position
Take the lead on continuing CCLA's tradition of funding scholarships every year for area students. Our scholarship events are the main way we raise our scholarship funds.
Responsibilities include:
- Identifying and coordinating scholarship events, including the annual scholarship dinners - Choosing the theme of any scholarship events
- Organizing hosts for any scholarship events
You will have the full support of the board and previous scholarship events directors in this role. This is a great role for someone who loves event planning and thinking outside of the box. Additionally, all board members are responsible for attending board meetings and providing input and guidance on the direction of the Cornell Club of Los Angeles.

It is important that the the scholarship director is able to speak in board meetings and share thoughts and ideas with the board. Although public speaking is not mandatory, it is helpful to have a comfort level in speaking to their constituents. The ability to share a clear message of welcome and inclusion is important in both speaking and communicating via email.
