Summary of Position

The Chair also works with staff to create and implement a communications strategy for the Mosaic organization as appropriate and in concert with the Executive Committee's goals. Additionally, as a volunteer for Cornell University, vote in Cornell's annual alumni trustee election.

The Chair oversees the members of the committee as they work to develop communication strategies for Cornell Mosaic. The Chair oversees the members of the committee as they maintain Mosaic's social media presence and create any design or printed materials as requested from the Mosaic Executive/Steering Committee.

The Chair develops, implements and oversees the committee's work plan. The Chair organizes and runs meetings, and produces an annual report.

Other Meeting Details: Monthly phone calls ensure the timeliness of the work, and the Chair presents the committee's recommendation to the Steering Committee at the Spring Meeting. Furthermore, the Chair interacts with a university staff liaison prior to and after the work of the committee to prepare for and learn from the committee's work.

Additional Attendance Requirements: Attendance at bi-monthly Mosaic meetings is preferred.
