Summary of Position

The Chair of the Development Committee shall work with the Director of Mosaic and University development staff to devise and implement strategies to increase participation in giving to the University by Cornell's diverse alumni, and inform diverse alumni and diverse alumni organizations about the fundraising priorities of the University. Additionally, as a volunteer for Cornell University, vote in Cornell's annual alumni trustee election.

Other Meeting Details: Monthly phone calls ensure the timeliness of the work, and the Chair presents the committee's recommendation to the Steering Committee at the Spring Meeting. Furthermore, the Chair interacts with a university staff liaison prior to and after the work of the committee to prepare for and learn from the committee's work.

Additional Attendance Requirements: Attendance at bi-monthly Mosaic meetings is preferred.
