Summary of Position

The Chair of the Membership Committee oversees a group of appointed Mosaic elected members to review and recommend a slate of nominees for officer and elected member roles on the Cornell Mosaic Steering Committee. Additionally, as a volunteer for Cornell University, vote in Cornell's annual alumni trustee election.

The Chair of the Nominating Committee provides frequent updates to the Steering Commitee on the deliberations of the committee. Furthermore, the Chair presents the slate to the Steering Committee for review and action.

Other Meeting Details: Monthly phone calls ensure the timeliness of the work, and the Chair presents the committee's recommendation to the Steering Committee at the Spring Meeting. Furthermore, the Chair interacts with a university staff liaison prior to and after the work of the committee to prepare for and learn from the committee's work.

Additional Attendance Requirements: Attendance at bi-monthly Mosaic meetings is preferred.
