Summary of Position

Duties of board members include, but are not limited to: (1) participating in monthly board meetings, conference calls, and the annual meeting; (2) voting on board matters and providing feedback when requested by officers, committee chairs and chapter leaders; (3) serving as a member of a committee and participating in committee meetings/conference calls; (4) being an active member of a chapter, if applicable; (5) attending Cornell Pride and All-Ivy LGBTQ+ activities and programs; (6) attending the annual Cornell Pride board retreat and/or the Cornell Alumni Leadership Conference (annual location varies); and (7) making an annual gift to Cornell, designated preferably to an LGBTQ+ program, at a level of individual comfort.

Requirements

Prerequisites To be eligible for membership on the board, applicants must be (1) alumni of a Cornell undergraduate or graduate college or school at the time of their election and (2) involved (as a leader or active volunteer) with at least one Cornell alumni organization or one LGBTQ, community, or professional organization prior to their election.
