Summary of Position

Cornellians is a digital-first publication and alumni community hub produced as a partnership between Cornell Alumni Affairs & Development (AAD), University Relations (UR), and alumni. The Cornellians Alumni Advisory Council is the formal representation of the alumni voice in this partnership, collaborating with AAD and UR staff members to ensure that the alumni voice is represented in Cornellians’ editorial content and platform. This council will directly advise both the Cornellians Editor-in-Chief and the Platform Director, as well as senior AAD and UR leaders in this work. The mission of Cornellians is to engage and inspire alumni throughout their lifetime by informing, entertaining, and connecting the Big Red community around the globe.

Off Campus Location: The Advisory Council will meet twice per year in person: once during the Cornell Alumni Leadership Conference (location TBD), and once on campus.

Other Meeting Details: Attend and actively participate in quarterly meetings. Initially, the Alumni Advisory Council may meet more frequently as needed and determined by the Chair, the AVP for Alumni Affairs, and the AVP for Communications.

Additional Attendance Requirements: Meetings for additional committee work may be held as needed.
