Who we are

Since 1928, the Cornell Hotel Society has been the primary means through which alumni from the Cornell Nolan Hotel School engage with each other. Thousands of ‘Hotelies’ around the world regularly connect online through the CHS Lobby and offline at the 150+ events organized by 50+ CHS Chapters active on 6 continents.

The humble ethos of CHS is Life Is Service… and is best demonstrated by its 100+ volunteers who champion this mission by creating opportunities for current and future hospitality leaders to interact.

CHS uniquely remains an external non-profit organization that receives zero funding from the school it proudly serves. Remarkably, over its lifetime the CHS community has endowed over $8.4 million to the school – with 100% of its annual returns distributed as student scholarships. It is the school’s second largest endowment.

The Cornell Hotel Society welcomes any and all Hotelies who wish to join in support of its ongoing efforts. Interested Hotelies may contribute in a variety of ways: paying annual dues, joining as lifetime members, donating to & bidding at its auctions, attending & hosting events, volunteering at the chapter level, and joining its global board.
