Summary of Position
The membership chair manages and works on efforts to encourage membership in the Berkshires. Additionally, the chair plays a critical role in strengthening the Cornell community by building out the club's job board. Responsibilities include: (1) Contacting alumni new to the area and inviting them to join the club and attend events. (2) Look for other ways to grow the club's membership.

Speak to Groups
It is important that the VP for Membership is able to speak in board meetings and share ideas with the board. Although public speaking is not mandatory, it is helpful to have a comfort level in speaking to their constituents. The ability to share a clear message is important in both speaking and communicating via email. The membership chair is responsible for writing and editing emails welcoming new alumni to the area.
