Summary of Position

The Secretary shall keep the minutes of the Board of Directors and also the minutes of the membership or general body meetings. The Secretary shall attend to the giving and receiving of all notices and responses between CLAA, Cornell and/or any Campus entities, as directed by the Executive Committee of the board. The Secretary shall keep the records of the Association and make proposed edits to CLAA’s bylaws, mission and vision statements as directed by the President and the Board. The Secretary shall also keep track of any Board votes as needed and perform such other duties within the office to advance CLAA’s mission statement and vision.

Additional Attendance Requirements: Attendance at TCAM, Homecoming, and CALC are strongly encouraged. There shall be a minimum of one annual membership meeting. The annual membership meeting shall be held at the Cornell Alumni Leadership Conference or at another venue as deemed appropriate by the Board.
