Summary of Position

The treasurer shall have the care and custody of all the funds provided by Cornell to support CLAA activities and ensure that Cornell reimbursement policies are being followed for disbursement of those funds. The Treasurer shall support the Development Committee in CLAA’s fundraising campaigns and efforts to develop donors to Cornell among CLAA members. The Treasurer shall formulate annual budgets as required by Cornell and draft written annual reports of the financial accounts of the Association’s activities as required by Cornell and perform such other duties within the office to advance CLAA’s mission statement and vision.

The Treasurer shall, when duly authorized by the Board, sign and execute all contracts in the name of the Corporation, when countersigned by the President. The Treasurer shall present at annual meeting an audit of the accounts of the Corporation in writing, at which time the Treasurer shall also present and annual report of the financial condition of the Corporation. The Treasurer shall also at all reasonable times exhibit the books and accounts to any director of Active Member of the Corporation at any regular meeting.

The annual membership meeting shall be held at the Cornell Alumni Leadership Conference or at another venue as deemed appropriate by the Board.
