Summary of Position

As recognized leaders at Cornell, in their profession, or in the community, members serve as the university's key ambassadors. Every year Council members are expected to attend Trustee-Council Annual Meeting (TCAM); share the current university message at a Cornell volunteer event, meeting or informal gathering; contribute financially; participate in training and information webinars; and nominate future Cornell University Council members. Additionally, as a volunteer for Cornell University, vote in Cornell's annual alumni trustee election.

Speak to Groups
Collaborate with staff, alumni, parents and friends to identify formal and informal settings in which to share the current university message and ensure that speaking points are appropriate for the audience. Speak in formal and informal settings about the current university message, provide subsequent feedback to Council's Administrative Board, and if appropriate, provide follow-up information to the participants.

Build/Maintain Relationships

Engage Individuals
Represent Cornell
Serve as a liaison to facilitate a reciprocal flow of information between the university and the greater Cornell community. Recommend future Council members based on organization needs and member qualifications.
