Summary of Position

The Secretary's role is facilitating communication among officers and scheduling and arranging logistics for meetings with the Board. The secretary takes minutes of meetings and distributes to all officers as well as the staff contact. He/she is also personally responsible for maintaining a record of all meeting minutes. The Secretary may also ensure that the Bylaws are regularly reviewed and updated. The Secretary may also serve as historian by documenting important events and changes in the organization's history. The Secretary will also work with the Marketing Chair to ensure relevant Board announcements and information are shared on the CWAN website.
